MassCommute Bicycle Challenge
May 14th – 20th, 2012

proudly presented by

The MassCommute Bicycle Challenge is a friendly and FREE competition amongst Massachusetts businesses, educational institutions and municipalities in which employees, students and residents support their “teams” – where you work or go to school and where you live. Simply pledge to bike for all or part of trips you take during Bay State Bike Week, May 14-20 2012.  We’ll tally the totals on the Leader Board.   Participation is open to anyone who lives, works or attends school in Massachusetts.

Roughly 40% of trips Americans make are under 2 miles:  just right for the bicycle.  And there are a lot of reasons to make some or all of those trips on two wheels, human powered:  FUN, health and fitness, save money on vehicle/gas/parking, convenience, lower carbon footprint, reduce dependency on foreign oil, and more.

In addition to trying your regular trips by bicycle, you can find out about other fun cycling activities during the week at the Bay State Bike Week calendar !
